Polar Express Game

In 2004 I was tasked with creating the interface for the online promotional Polar Express game for the upcoming movie from Warner Bros.  The game consisted of laying different track pieces to try to find your way through a winder forest maze to the North Pole.  I designed the game graphics, interface, and official marketing

Summit Energy GPS IA

This Information Architecture was created for a sustainability energy SEO site for the purpose of increasing their google ranking on specific keywords.  My client and I agreed that if we were going to create a site specifically for SEO purposes, it would still be informative and helpful to those that visited instead of the typical

Presentation Illustrations

I’ve frequently needed icons or illustrations for projects that were unavailable from various stock sites.  Either the general concept was too niche or the style of the icons/illustrations didn’t match the project I was working on.  I don’t consider myself an Illustrator, but I didn’t usually have room in the timeline to contact and work

Poiu Website

Poiu was a cryptocurrency site and marketplace way back in the old days of 2012. I vaguely recall that the company closed before we finished the discovery process and initial design phase. While the company didn’t last, the designs (by Ryan Jennings) that I art directed live on in my portfolio.

Performance Analytics

Schneider Electric needed an interface built for their new performance analytics component of their enterprise-level energy management application, Resource Advisor. Although built in 2013, the interface had to function on older browsers due to their demographics.

Email Promotions

Over the years I have created hundreds of email designs – from simple promotional emails to complex dynamic emails that are customized at the single recipient level. The designs here are a small sample of the promotional emails I’ve designed or art directed in the past. Many of these linked to a matching landing page

Direct Connect Football

In 2003, Flash games in your browser were all the rage. The NEXTEL Direct Connect Football game was a promotional Flash game that featured the Quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. I directed the photoshoot of the QB so we had image reference for models and marketing assets for the game. Directing a professional NFL quarterback

MISEC Energy Brochure

The Michigan Schools Energy Cooperative (MISEC) partnered with me and my client, Summit Energy, to develop a brochure to help the state’s schools understand working with Energy Brokers to reduce their energy costs.  The general concept of energy management is based around knowing the cost of energy for every square foot of your building’s footprint.  I

Miller Man Law Game

The concept of this game was to hunt for various situations where guys were breaking a “Man Law” in different locations and compete against different teams.    I was tasked with creating the interface for the pitch that the client requested.  Just the design.  Not the client’s concept.  Seriously.

MetaArcade

The early 2000s were evidently filled with company names that used camelCaps!   Anyhow… MetaArcade was a sub-site of GameTap that focused on old arcade games that could be played in a browser.  This concept was developed to convey that idea through the website structure.
